Wedding Videographer in Vancouver

Your wedding day moves fast — the first look, the tea ceremony, the vows, the first dance. I capture it as a cinematic film you will rewatch for years, not a long-form recording you will forget. Based in Vancouver and serving the entire Greater Vancouver area, I specialize in bilingual English/Mandarin wedding films and multicultural ceremonies — Chinese, South Asian, and Western — with drone aerials and same-week highlight delivery.

What's Included

  • Full-day coverage from getting-ready to reception exit
  • Cinematic 4–6 minute highlight film plus a 60–90 second social cut
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin subtitled version for family overseas
  • Licensed drone aerials of ceremony and venue (weather permitting)
  • Second shooter available for large Chinese tea ceremonies and multi-location days
  • Same-week social teaser, full film within 6–8 weeks

Why Couples in Vancouver Choose Steven Video Production

Weddings in Vancouver are rarely just one ceremony. You might have a Chinese tea ceremony in the morning, a Western ceremony in the afternoon, and a reception that runs until midnight — with guests flying in from across Asia and North America. I bring bilingual direction, a second shooter when needed, and a film style that respects tradition while feeling modern. My real estate and event videography background means I move fast, stay unobtrusive, and get the shots that matter — ceremony vows, speeches, parents' reactions, the first dance — without making you pose for hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a wedding videographer cost in Vancouver?

Vancouver wedding videography typically starts around $2,400 for 8 hours of coverage with a highlight film and a social cut. Full-day packages with a second shooter, drone, and a same-week teaser usually land between $3,200 and $4,800 depending on coverage hours, number of locations, and whether you want a longer documentary edit in addition to the highlight. I offer a free 20-minute consultation to build a package that fits your day.

Do you film Chinese tea ceremonies and bilingual weddings?

Yes — this is one of my most-booked wedding formats. I cover the tea ceremony (敬茶), Western ceremony, and banquet as a single cinematic film, with bilingual English/Mandarin subtitles so family members in China and Hong Kong can enjoy it too. I direct in English and Mandarin, which keeps the day moving smoothly when older family members are involved.

Can you shoot South Asian, Indian, Persian, or other multicultural weddings?

Yes. I have covered South Asian ceremonies, Persian sofreh aghd, and Western weddings across Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, and Surrey. For longer multi-day celebrations — for example, a Sangeet plus a same-week wedding — I offer a bundled multi-day rate and bring a second shooter so nothing gets missed.

How soon will I receive my wedding film?

A 60-second social teaser is delivered within the week so you can share it while the day is still fresh. The full highlight film (4–6 minutes) is delivered within 6–8 weeks. If you booked a longer documentary cut or a bilingual subtitled version, that follows 1–2 weeks after the highlight.

Do you offer drone coverage for outdoor weddings?

Yes. I am a Transport Canada–certified RPAS pilot with 100+ flight hours and full liability insurance. I cover outdoor ceremonies at Stanley Park, Whytecliff Park, UBC Botanical Garden, and Fraser Valley vineyards when airspace and weather allow. For venues under YVR's controlled airspace (parts of Richmond and south Vancouver), I file the required SFOC or NAV Drone clearance in advance.

Do you work with a wedding photographer, or do we need to hire both separately?

I work alongside whichever photographer you already love. If you haven't booked one yet, I can recommend Vancouver wedding photographers I have partnered with before — it makes the day smoother when the video and photo teams have worked together. I also offer a combined photo+video package for couples who want one team handling both.

How far in advance should I book my wedding videographer?

For peak season (May through October), most couples book 8–12 months out. Chinese New Year and December holiday weddings tend to book 6 months ahead. If your date is closer than that, ask anyway — I keep a short waitlist and occasionally have cancellations.
