Transport Canada Certified — Not a Hobbyist

I hold a Transport Canada RPAS Basic Pilot Certificate and carry full commercial liability insurance. Every commercial drone flight requires proper certification and insurance — a hobbyist drone without these creates liability exposure for the property owner or organizer that hired them. I assess airspace for every location, file authorization in advance for controlled zones, and advise clearly when a location cannot be safely or legally flown.

Drone Video Services

Real estate: property exterior overview, rooftop views, street approach, neighbourhood context, and aerial establishing shots for listing marketing.

Commercial property: building exteriors, parking and site context, construction progress documentation, and development marketing.

Business video: aerial establishing shots for corporate brand films, event coverage, location showcase, and promotional content.

Social media: short aerial clips formatted for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

Tourism and hospitality: destination showcase, venue overview, and landscape footage for marketing campaigns.

Compliance and Airspace

All drone operations in Canada are regulated by Transport Canada under the Aeronautics Act. Commercial drone work requires a valid RPAS pilot certificate, appropriate aircraft registration, and in many areas, advance authorization to fly.

Greater Vancouver includes multiple controlled airspace zones near YVR, Vancouver Harbour, and hospital heliports. I assess every location before booking, file the necessary authorization where required, and advise clients on locations that are not flyable under current regulations.

Drone flights are always subject to weather conditions. If conditions on the day of the shoot are unsuitable for safe flight, I will advise and reschedule aerial components.

Service Areas

Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Surrey, Coquitlam, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, New Westminster, Port Moody, Langley, and surrounding Lower Mainland areas. Location-specific airspace assessment applies to every booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does drone videography cost in Vancouver?

Drone add-ons to a real estate or business video shoot start from $150. Standalone drone-only sessions are quoted based on location, flight time, and deliverables. Contact for a same-day written quote.

Do you provide drone video for real estate listings?

Yes. Aerial footage is a standard add-on to real estate listing video packages. Property overview shots, street and neighbourhood context, and rooftop or elevated angles are all available where airspace and location permit.

Can drone footage be used for social media?

Yes. Drone footage is delivered in both 16:9 horizontal (for websites and YouTube) and 9:16 vertical (for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts) when requested.

What areas of Greater Vancouver do you serve for drone video?

Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Surrey, Coquitlam, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, New Westminster, Port Moody, and Langley. Some locations require advance airspace authorization — I file this before every flight.

Is drone flight always available at every location?

No. All drone operations are subject to airspace permissions, weather conditions, location restrictions, and Transport Canada regulations. Controlled airspace (near airports, heliports, and certain urban zones) requires advance authorization. I assess every location before committing to a flight and advise on restrictions.

Are you licensed for commercial drone work in Canada?

Yes. I hold a Transport Canada RPAS Basic Pilot Certificate, carry full commercial liability insurance, and file all required authorization before flights in controlled or restricted airspace.
